Too cold for Bread and Butter

Berlin's favourite fashion show was back in town last week strutting its stuff: Bread and Butter. This year's theme was "The Original" - a sort of wild west sort of thing.

Hmmm... Firstly, I'm not really sure that this is cutting edge from a fashion perspective. Secondly, do we need to have an overriding tacky theme? Can't we just let the fashion designers (who are, after all, designers) define the show themselves? Oh well, it all seemed to go down a treat with everyone at the opening party. Klaus "Wow!" Wowereit was there for the opening - happy to celebrate one of Berlin's most financially important expos.

Unfortunately the city itself didn't really come to the party. Temperatures were hovering around the -8 degrees Celsius mark over the three days. Some guests at the B&B headquarters at Tempelhof Airport were even seen showing off their thermal underwear to each other - now there is nothing fashionable about that. Roll on, summer Bread & Butter in July!

dont tell the guys this but i managed to squeeze in one of the shows - a first for me - and quite enjoyed the glitz and glamour, despite the cold. Someone left a mink stole under my seat so I st... it. It seemed appropriate.
